Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Day!

Christmas Eve was at our house.  The Elves had brought the kids new pajamas!  Here they are modeling their sleepwear and slippers.

Before light the kiddos were out in the snow.  This is a daily routine.  But while out the kiddos and Dad built a snow cave in our front yard.  They had fun digging it all out.  I bet we will get a better one as the snow continues to build.  We are just at the beginning.

So lets talk gear for just a second:
This is what my wall looks like when they are out playing.

This is what it looks like when they return.
Notice the location...just above a heater...with the gloves drying on it.
Works like a charm, that is if they are cleaned up nicely :)

We had THE FRIENDS over for dinner and a program.  We retold the Birth of Christ and played the CHIMES.  We LOVE THOSE CHIMES!  All the kids were getting into it.  It was so much fun.  Then we laid out cookies, carrots and milk for Santa and snuggled into bed....after reading "Twas the night before Christmas" and enjoyed some entertainment from the overly excited kiddos.

He grew a carrot toe!

They actually fell asleep immediately.

True to form, the kids woke us up at 6:15am by jumping on our bed.  Down the stairs we went to open those presents.  It was a complete joy seeing the excitement in thier eyes.  We feel very blessed this year. The kids got a some wonderful gifts including a tepee (made by Grammy), snow shoes, bow and arrow, guitar, and toys and games.  I guess they were great this year.  And Santa ate his cookies and the reindeer ate the carrots.  So much fun!

This year my hubby suprised me greatly....He got me my first introductory flying lesson with Talkeetna Air.  I am so thrilled.  I want to get my small aircraft pilot license.  I think it would be so fun.  So now I am taking my first steps to that goal.  Love that man!

Christmas Day Dinner was at THE FRIENDS house. Then after dinner we were invited to go up to the top of Mt. Baldy in the 5 degree weather to let of wishing lanterns with some friends.  Wishing lanterns are the lanterns that they let off in the movie "Tangled".  It was so much fun and such a great memorable experience. This is a Christmas we will never forget.  So memorable and amazing watching them rise in the air with the snow coming down looking over the town.  So neat!!!  There were 15 total let off.  What a perfect ending to the most wonderful day of the year.

I think this may become the picture for our cards!!!!
He insisted on wearing his pajamas!!! So funny I know.

The yellow lights are the wishing lanterns.  It was hard to get a good picture with the snow coming down and teasing our flash.  It was beautiful though.
